Jolie Korek: Interior Designer
Korek’s designs blend classic and modern styles with a touch of whimsy, and take inspiration directly from the individual needs of each client. Her vision updates the elegant and cozy elements of traditional design by infusing them with crisp, clean lines and the luster of contemporary finishes. Employing a palette that ranges from subtle to vibrant, her compelling use of color warms and enhances every project.
She has completed major residential and commercial projects in Manhattan, the Hamptons, and Westchester County, where she works collaboratively with clients to provide custom levels of service and advice at all stages of the design process. Through Jolie Korek Interiors, clients have access to leading design resources and materials, as well as skilled and experienced craftsmen. In addition, Korek works with realtors and sellers to stage homes for the housing market.
Korek has been an independent design professional for almost 20 years, and is an affiliate member of ASID. She has received kitchen design awards from Sub-Zero, Miele, and Thermidor. “As an avid traveler, I’ve always loved Mediterranean tiles and patterns. In redesigning our kitchen and family room, I wanted a modern, welcoming and elegant space. Above all, I wanted those design touches and colors that would create a unique and light space, reminding me of trips overseas, to Spain, Italy, Greece and the Middle East. We wanted space for our kids to be comfortable snacking or doing schoolwork or for friends to gather for dinner and even cook together. Korek listened to all of our concerns and preferences and step by step made all of our wishes come true.”
“Jolie Korek started working with us 6 years ago when we began total renovation on our 1898 Victorian. We gave Korek the difficult task of modernizing our home and creating a more efficient flow while maintaining much of its inherent charm. With her incredible vision, ability to listen to what we wanted and needed, attention to detail and plethora of resources she created our dream home. Whether it’s finding the perfect fabric, designing the custom furniture piece, or finding the just right midcentury lighting, Korek always did it with patience and a smile. She is a true professional in every respect.”
